The compensation ranges for a Journeyperson In Training (JIT) are $36.68-$42.80 per hour, while the Journeyperson rate is $43.50 per hour. Certificates, credentials, and interview scoring will determine status and pay.
This is an on-site role at the Grand Rapids location requiring the ability to work and stand for extended periods, navigate a busy environment, and drive mobile equipment when needed.
Candidates need at least six (6) years of related experience as a Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion as a Stationary Engineer, plus basic computer skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
The role requires willingness to work flexible shift hours including day, afternoon, or night shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays with little notice.
Strong candidates will have at least six years of experience or a DOL Certificate as a Stationary Engineer, relevant credentials and certificates, and perform well in the interview, along with the ability to pass assessments, drug testing, and background checks.
