Requirements

  • Expertise in project planning, timeline development & management, and maintaining project schedules
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (e.g., factory layouts, visual management, 6S, JIT, Kanban)
  • Ability to develop and maintain process risk documentation (e.g., PFMEA)
  • Experience in validation protocols, reports, and supplier qualification
  • Skills in design for manufacturability (DFM) and cross-functional collaboration
  • Capability to perform analysis for cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvement

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary technical point of contact; works with contract manufacturers and external partners to transfer and scale Shockwave manufacturing processes
  • Supports supplier selection and qualification for Global business continuity initiatives
  • Supports development transfer activities from R&D & Operations to contract manufacturers/suppliers
  • Leads local and international suppliers and manufacturing sites to generate capacity/capability models and make vs. buy assessments for site planning
  • Manages preparation and execution of validation protocols and completion of validation reports
  • Develops and maintains process risk documentation (e.g., PFMEA) to identify risks and implement preventive/corrective actions
  • Leads and implements process improvement and cost reduction projects
  • Effectively utilizes lean manufacturing tools to improve material and information flow in the factory
  • Implements robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes to improve product flow, quality, and safety for sustained and new products
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams during development phases, providing DFM inputs and recommendations
  • Develops, tests, and implements tools, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing processes
  • Develops manufacturing process instructions, inspection plans, and lot history travelers
  • Performs analysis for cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvement
  • Leads design transfer of new products to production, including establishing assembly time/yield targets, training needs, and quality control
  • Provides technical support to contract manufacturers and suppliers on implementation/validation of manufacturing lines, prototypes, pilot/production equipment/tooling, troubleshooting, and changes to improve quality/performance
  • Assists in identification and pursuit of value/cost improvement projects aligned with business goals
