Requirements

Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience, or 6+ years with a Master's degree. Strong proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages is required, along with experience developing applications in JavaScript. A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and performance optimization is necessary. Strong analytical and design skills, experience mentoring engineers, and supporting production systems are also essential. Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving is a must. Familiarity with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue, the ServiceNow platform, and AI-powered tools and workflows are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices. They will work with product owners and designers to understand requirements and refine scope. The engineer will own their code from design to delivery, collaborate with peers, and contribute to both new products and existing features. Responsibilities include shaping user experiences, troubleshooting customer environments, debugging code, exploring and integrating ServiceNow AI capabilities, and mentoring peers to foster knowledge-sharing and engineering excellence.
