Requirements

  • Expert-level experience in Rust (preferred) or other compiled languages for systems programming
  • Proven record architecting and scaling hypervisor-based infrastructure
  • Mastery of Linux internals, kernel debugging, and performance engineering
  • Strong background in networking automation (BGP, EVPN, OVS)
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and infrastructure automation (Puppet/Ansible)
  • Track record of setting technical strategy and mentoring senior engineers

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Networking, Storage, SRE, Product) on platform evolution
  • Mentor engineers across all levels, raising the technical bar in systems programming and distributed systems
  • Architect and evolve hypervisor integrations (libvirt, QEMU, KVM) across thousands of hosts
  • Design scalable, automated networking systems built on BGP, EVPN, and OVS
  • Lead large-scale automation and provisioning frameworks with GitLab CI/CD and Puppet/Ansible
  • Champion observability and reliability practices with Grafana, Sentry, and SumoLogic
  • Drive advanced performance tuning across CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and storage layers
