Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of backend engineering experience and a minimum of 3 years of technical leadership experience leading and/or managing teams. A track record of shipping high-quality products and leading projects at scale is required, along with the ability to turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions. A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and alignment with Ramp’s core values is also necessary.
The Staff Software Engineer will help lead and manage a team of highly skilled backend engineers while coaching, mentoring, and advocating for them. They will collaborate on the technical vision, lead discussions and implementation of multiple complex projects, and continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems. Proactively engaging with peers and managers to provide and solicit feedback, as well as recruiting and developing interview questions, will also be part of their duties.
