Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 4+ years of work experience
  • Advanced understanding of electrical components and manufacturing methods including common failure modes (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and test electrical designs (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of the electrical design process (preferred)
  • Proficiency in the use of CAD and/or other circuit design and analysis tools to design (preferred)
  • Knowledge of standard technologies used in industry (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret and analyze system drawings with basic Mechanical/Software/Electrical Interactions (preferred)
  • Knowledge of sub-system, system, and environmental interactions and how to design to them (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Independently design and develop schematics and PCB layouts for electronic circuit boards in medical devices, ensuring alignment with system requirements
  • Develop, review, and execute electrical system tests using advanced equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) to validate performance and reliability
  • Identify and evaluate solutions to complex product design challenges, balancing tradeoffs at the component and sub-system levels
  • Lead the creation and refinement of technical documentation, including schematics, design descriptions, stack-up calculations, and manufacturing test specifications
  • Interface with manufacturers to define and implement manufacturing test specifications for scalable production
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to drive project success
  • Build relationships and influence across engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence
  • Deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and a strong commitment to meeting business priorities such as process improvements, technology advancements, and product development from concept to launch
