Candidates should possess 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in platform/infrastructure domains, and a proven track record owning 0→1 or complex technical products at scale. Experience with enterprise software deployment, monitoring, and security architectures is required, along with a deep understanding of Kubernetes, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure. Experience building, writing, maintaining, and defending clear product roadmaps and backlogs backed by user stories and customer research is essential, as are exceptional written and presentation skills, and the ability to build relationships with global co-workers and customers.
The Staff Product Manager will define and execute product strategy and roadmaps for Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK) and Confluent's Ansible playbooks, catering to users who prefer automation and deployment through Ansible. They will also develop and champion the product strategy for Confluent's OEM program, identifying target partners and defining integration requirements. Responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing product requirements, working closely with engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, and collaborating with product marketing, sales, and partner teams to develop go-to-market strategies and sales enablement materials. The role also involves analyzing product usage and market trends, acting as a subject matter expert, and presenting product strategies and updates to internal teams, customers, and partners.
