Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team, demonstrating genuine care and setting performance standards
  • Deliver patient care including safe dispensing, meaningful counseling, immunizations, and compliance with legal/regulatory guidelines and workplace policies
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager by quarterbacking the team during bench shifts, overseeing operations as proxy, and assuming day-to-day duties when primary or only pharmacist on duty
  • Coach and provide feedback to pharmacy team members on performance, workflow procedures, safety guardrails, and best practices
  • Manage and improve patient health outcomes through empathetic care, resolving insurance/medication issues, and collaborating with healthcare teams
  • Oversee pharmacy inventory management, with focus on best practices and protecting cold chain products
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization skills
  • Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching, follow-up, and feedback to the Pharmacy Manager
