Responsibilities

Deliver purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Support Pharmacy Manager by exhibiting best practices on the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and complying with legal/regulatory guidelines and workplace policies
Oversee pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap, strengthening performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback to Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching team on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Partner with Pharmacy Manager on oversight and operation of all pharmacy aspects as readiness increases
