Responsibilities
- Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
- Oversee pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap, coach team members, provide feedback to Pharmacy Manager
- Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflows and safety guardrails
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, care, collaboration with healthcare team, and resolving issues
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, especially cold chain products
- Partner with Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with regulations; escalate issues as needed
- Support safe, inclusive team dynamic; write pharmacy schedule if directed
- Support access to care and improve outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing where permissible
