Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where the position is located. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. A passion for patient-centered care and community involvement is essential, along with the ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and medical concerns.
The Staff Pharmacist will counsel patients on their medication needs, accurately process and dispense prescription orders, maintain confidential patient information, and administer immunizations. They will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining controlled medications, documenting procedures, and providing guidance to pharmacy staff on customer service techniques. Furthermore, they will actively participate in community outreach events, stay informed on emergent health issues, and contribute to inventory control and cost savings initiatives.
