Requirements

Passion for transforming health care and demonstrating genuine care for patients
Ability to act as a role model, lead, and coach the pharmacy team
Knowledge of safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices

Ability to support clinical care services like testing and prescribing where permissible (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception)

Responsibilities

Help manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing
Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap
Strengthen pharmacy performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback to the Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflows and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Support scheduling by writing the pharmacy schedule if directed by the Pharmacy Manager
Maintain and expand clinical/technical skills through trainings and CMEs
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing
