Requirements
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in pharmaceutical care, information, and best practices
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to others
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity, and Open Door Policy
- Compliance with company, legal, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations (including Board of Pharmacy statutes)
- Skills in analyzing/interpreting reports, loss prevention, safety controls, and quality assurance
- Ability to maintain confidential information, documentation, and records per company and regulatory guidelines
- Capability to administer immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs
- HIPAA compliance adherence and operational execution of billing procedures
- Auditing skills to identify and improve compliance issues
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders
- Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
- Maintain confidential information, controlled medications, and required documentation
- Develop, execute, and improve action plans by providing expert advice and aligning efforts to meet customer/business needs
- Build relationships/partnerships with stakeholders, identify business needs, monitor progress, and adapt to changes
- Model, enforce, and guide associates on proper customer service approaches to resolve needs/complaints within company guidelines
- Model compliance with company policies/procedures and support ethics/integrity in business plans/processes
- Analyze reports, implement/monitor loss prevention/safety controls, oversee reviews, and develop action plans for company programs
- Provide comprehensive patient care by processing/dispensing prescriptions and administering immunizations/programs
- Create a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicate expectations; ensure accountability for SOPs and quality goals
- Ensure counseling on new therapy/items as requested/required, with documentation; analyze/improve team knowledge on safety/risk reduction
- Promote error reporting/transparency and write timely plans of action for root causes
- Foster environment for healthcare compliance execution; train/guide on compliance initiatives and monitor execution
- Implement compliance priorities, ensure billing/HIPAA/SOP adherence, and utilize auditing for improvements
