Requirements
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in pharmaceutical care, information, and best practices
- Ability to provide expert advice and guidance to others
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity, and Open Door Policy
- Compliance with company, legal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations, including Board of Pharmacy statutes
- Skills in analyzing/interpreting reports, implementing/monitoring loss prevention/safety controls, and overseeing safety/operational/quality assurance reviews
- Ability to maintain confidential information, documentation, and records
- Capability to administer immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs
- Experience in auditing processes, billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Responsibilities
- Provides pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders
- Counsels customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
- Maintains confidential information, controlled medications, and required documentation
- Applies expertise to develop, execute, and improve action plans; provides advice/guidance to others
- Supports implementation of business solutions by building relationships, identifying needs, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes
- Models, enforces, and provides direction on proper customer service approaches to resolve needs/complaints within guidelines
- Models compliance with policies/procedures; incorporates ethics/integrity into business plans
- Ensures compliance by analyzing reports, implementing controls, developing action plans, and providing guidance on programs/initiatives
- Provides comprehensive patient care, including dispensing orders and administering immunizations/programs
- Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicates expectations; holds others accountable for SOPs and quality goals
- Ensures counseling on new therapy/items as requested/required, with documentation
- Analyzes/improves areas for team knowledge, patient safety, and risk reduction; promotes error reporting/transparency; writes plans of action for root causes
- Fosters environment for health care compliance execution; communicates/trains/guides on compliance initiatives
- Implements/monitors compliance priorities, billing, HIPAA, and SOPs; uses auditing for improvements
