Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and practices. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, with a preference for experience in retail pharmacy settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide patient-centered care.
The Staff Pharmacist will counsel patients on their medications, accurately process prescription orders, and maintain confidential patient information. They will also administer immunizations, provide medication therapy management, and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care. Furthermore, they will contribute to inventory control, assist in cost savings initiatives, and serve as a role model for the pharmacy staff, offering guidance and support on customer service techniques and community outreach efforts.
