Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on machine learning. Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying large language models (LLMs) and small language/vision models is essential, along with experience building infrastructure for training and inference. A solid understanding of web and mobile development is also required.
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and integration of Generative AI solutions within Firefox, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, full-stack engineering, and design. You will build infrastructure for training and inference of LLMs and small language/vision models, implement robust validation and testing procedures, and contribute to safe and healthy machine learning experiences. Furthermore, you will mentor other engineers, provide feedback on strategic goals, and identify opportunities for improvement within the team and organization.
