Requirements

  • 3 or more years in Product FinOps in a SaaS organization
  • Experience with Excel, SQL, AWS Cost Explorer, and BI reporting
  • Familiarity with FinOps and TBM frameworks, practices, and disciplines
  • Experience working through complex datasets and shared allocation models
  • Experience working with FP&A and basic understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Experience leveraging SQL and ETL to inspect, modify, and enrich complex datasets
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) and/or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to DevOps and Engineering teams in developing cost models for new products, features, and services
  • Assist Product Management, Pricing, and Packaging Teams to incorporate workload estimates into new pricing models
  • Partner with Product teams and Finance to create and manage hosting expense budgets and forecasts
  • Identify, analyze, and report on key trends in COGS expense and understand which products or functionality are driving cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Analyze and understand expense trends and key spend drivers of COGS
  • Provide detailed monthly reporting on cloud infrastructure spend including AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and other key cloud infrastructure providers
  • Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to build dashboards and standardized reporting to business leaders
  • Be a trusted business partner to Engineering leadership and prepare key reporting
