The ideal candidate will have experience in data governance, data quality programs, and metadata tooling. They should possess product ownership skills for internal data governance platforms and be able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to align on compliance and ownership standards. A background in driving strategy and execution across governance frameworks is essential, along with experience in implementing automated data quality checks and monitoring key data quality KPIs. Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOC 2 is also required, as is experience in data classification, access control, and audit readiness.
The Staff Data Governance & Quality Specialist will drive the data governance roadmap, design and implement scalable frameworks for data trust, security, and reusability, and establish data ownership models. They will partner with Legal and stakeholders on data governance reviews, coordinate policy adoption, and implement automated data quality checks across pipelines. This role involves monitoring data quality KPIs, collaborating with data engineers on schema validation and anomaly detection, and resolving high-impact data issues. Additionally, the specialist will serve as a product owner for data governance tooling, define roadmaps for metadata management, and ensure business stakeholders have access to trusted data. They will also oversee metadata and lineage tracking, implement controls for regulatory compliance, and champion data stewardship best practices through education and documentation.
