Candidates must possess an active law license in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation, including expertise in first- and third-party bad faith claims across various insurance coverages. Exceptional legal drafting skills are required, demonstrated through the production of complex documents such as pre- and post-litigation demands, medical summaries, discovery responses, and legal memoranda. A meticulous attention to detail in all written communication and deep knowledge of personal injury law across multiple states, including statutory and common law frameworks, recoverable damages, and their limitations, are essential.
The Staff Attorney will maintain and expand the company's knowledge base to support high-quality demand packages and legal documents for personal injury claims. Responsibilities include collaborating with Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams to enhance product offerings and develop AI systems, designing and refining case-specific templates, and supporting firm- and state-level customization. The role also involves conducting legal research on liability and damages nationwide, monitoring statutory and common law changes, mentoring the Legal Operations Team on evolving legal standards, and leading quality assurance efforts through audits, benchmark development, and prompt engineering for model evaluation and fine-tuning.
