Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (experience a plus)
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (strong in Excel) and accounting systems
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with excellent organizational skills
  • High level of correspondence with sales force, customers, and vendors
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with other company associates
  • Language skills: ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Responsibilities

  • General accounting including creating and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end activities and year-end close process
  • Financial statement analysis and review
  • Sales tax preparation and reporting monthly
  • Assist with audits: External, Banking, Insurance, Sales Tax
  • Manage manufacturer commission payments in project management system
  • Create management reports as needed
  • Fixed assets (maintenance of existing schedule)
  • Research accounting issues and provide possible solutions
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
