Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
2 Years of Relevant Experience
Work Hours: Tuesday – Friday; 4:00am - 2:30pm CST
Travel Requirements: 0 – 5%
Preferred: Manufacturing toolroom experience within Medical Device Industry
Preferred: Understanding of mold design, function, and applications
Preferred: Ability to diagnose problems in a production environment to determine when mold repairs are needed
Preferred: Working knowledge of fits, tolerances and allowable mold running parameters
Preferred: Basic hot runner repair
Preferred: Proficient in mold polishing

Responsibilities

Handle highly complex technical tasks related to mold tooling design and plastic injection molding processes, supporting operations and contributing to efficiency within defined procedures
Make significant decisions within the scope of your tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation
Ensure rigorous quality control and comply with regulatory requirements
Complete all required training and commit to continuous improvement in operations
Maintain precision molds in a production environment
Evaluate and complete repairs/modifications and perform mold preventative maintenance
Collect and document measurement results and generate reports
Perform routine operation of tool room equipment including manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, CNC and EDM machines
Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective parts in a variety of complex Molding Tools
Perform mold and tooling setups and repairs, verification of part quality and critical process parameters, mold evaluations and recommendation of repairs/modifications, basic machine and mold maintenance, and monitor/verify daily production quantities and efficiencies in accordance with standard operating procedures
Evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications
Test, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments
Set up methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements
Assign and monitor work for other technicians
Isolate problems for further analyses
