Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and managing product backlogs
  • Ability to prioritize features based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, microservices, and architecture designs
  • Good knowledge of Linux system
  • Good knowledge of source code and artifact repositories (Git, GitHub, Gitlab and/or similar tools)
  • Strong experience in Java language and experience / openness to use others like Python, C++, Go
  • Software Engineering background, with experience in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and understand technical constraints
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Experience in managing expectations and aligning stakeholders on product goals
  • Strong analytical mindset to assess feature impact, dependencies, and risks
  • Familiar with containerization and Kubernetes (plus)
  • Able to work under minimal supervision and open to collaboration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products
  • Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product
  • Routinely collaborate with UX Design to know customers and understand behaviors
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas
  • Demonstrate ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing
  • Collaborate with PM for the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases
  • Own and manage the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
  • Collaborate with Product Managers/TPMs to decompose features into consumable user stories
  • Translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit
  • Partner with Service Owners/ Development Managers to ensure healthy development process
