Senior Software Engineer - TCGplayer (An eBay Company)

As a Senior Software Engineer at TCGplayer, you will be a crucial contributor to significant, mission-critical technical projects involving multiple development teams. Your team will focus on enhancing the order management and fulfillment experience for sellers, migrating legacy applications to a microservice-based architecture using cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate with other engineering teams to deliver a seamless and intuitive selling experience across TCGplayer's tools.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance order management capabilities to support international expansion and an omni-channel selling experience.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to and helping to establish best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive team innovation and personal skill development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer building scalable web applications.
  • 5+ years of experience with C# (ASP.Net/.Net Core).
  • Expert knowledge of RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, specifically Scalyr/DataSet for logs and New Relic for dashboards & alerting.
  • Experience with event/stream processing mechanisms, particularly Kafka, and familiarity with AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern CI/CD frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
