Requirements

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
  • Strong proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications

  • Minimum 3 years of production planning/scheduling experience, preferably within the medical device industry
  • Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Netsuite
  • Willingness to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Develop production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, inventory targets, as well as equipment and work center capacity
  • Interface with procurement to resolve due date and material shortage issues
  • Work with warehouse personnel to prioritize work order picking
  • Coordinate monthly build plan meetings
  • Participate in the analysis and planning of direct labor and equipment capacity
  • Identify and develop potential solutions to improve production performance and efficiency
  • Generate weekly production status reports
  • Manage and update target work order start and completion dates within ERP
  • Manage the release of work orders for production as per the established schedule
  • Update/maintain ERP work center resource counts
  • Track production performance vs schedule weekly to drive root cause and corrective action on production issues
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the right amount of stock is available while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence
  • Coordinate the timely ordering of materials and products from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demand
