BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
15 or more years of industry experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based data solutions
6 or more years of demonstrated ability in AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, Athena, PySpark, Python, and SQL for data processing, ETL/ELT data transformation
Good experience in Databricks, building scalable data pipelines, optimizing Delta Lake storage, and implementing security controls
Expertise in AWS services, cloud security standard processes, IAM roles and policies, encryption strategies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Experience in working on initiatives related to AI and Data
Good knowledge of data governance frameworks, including AWS Lake Formation, Unity Catalog, and data lineage tracking
Proficiency in CI/CD practices for data solutions using Github, GHA, and Terraform
Experience implementing real-time and batch data processing solutions using Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Streaming
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging, performance tuning, and cost optimization in cloud environments
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and guide teams toward scalable data solutions
Outstanding interpersonal skills to translate sophisticated technical concepts into business-aligned solutions
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with collaborators across IT, business, and security teams
Experience in writing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard methodology guides
Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying ahead of evolving cloud and data technologies
