Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 15 or more years of industry experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based data solutions
  • 6 or more years of demonstrated ability in AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, Athena, PySpark, Python, and SQL for data processing, ETL/ELT data transformation
  • Good experience in Databricks, building scalable data pipelines, optimizing Delta Lake storage, and implementing security controls
  • Expertise in AWS services, cloud security standard processes, IAM roles and policies, encryption strategies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Experience in working on initiatives related to AI and Data
  • Good knowledge of data governance frameworks, including AWS Lake Formation, Unity Catalog, and data lineage tracking
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices for data solutions using Github, GHA, and Terraform
  • Experience implementing real-time and batch data processing solutions using Kafka, Kinesis, or Spark Streaming
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging, performance tuning, and cost optimization in cloud environments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and guide teams toward scalable data solutions
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to translate sophisticated technical concepts into business-aligned solutions
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with collaborators across IT, business, and security teams
  • Experience in writing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard methodology guides
  • Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying ahead of evolving cloud and data technologies
