Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Cloud Security Product Group. We are expanding our mission of "stopping breaches" into the public cloud and cloud-native workloads. Our new product offering will empower customers to monitor, track, harden, and protect their cloud-native workloads against attacks prior to deployment, defending against adversary activities involving cloud-native resources. When integrated with CrowdStrike's Falcon endpoint security offering, our Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) offering will provide a comprehensive view of how adversaries target key customer infrastructure, ultimately aiming for a single platform to secure the entire lifecycle of cloud workloads and cloud security posture.

What You'll Do

• Lead backend engineering efforts, from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products.
• Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at a global scale.
• Brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams.
• Champion the newest technologies and techniques, raising the technical IQ of the team through continuous learning.
• Work in a startup-like environment with a small, fast-moving team.
• Be mentored and mentor other developers on web, backend, and data storage technologies and our system.
• Constantly re-evaluate our product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Own your work with autonomy in a high-trust environment.

What You'll Need

• Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent professional experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems).
• Understanding of scalability and distributed systems concepts (e.g., sharding, partitioning, concurrency).
• Strong team player mentality.
• Thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including appropriate testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
• Skills to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested software that undergoes code review and continuous integration.

Bonus Points

• Contributions to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
• Existing exposure to Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence field.
