Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, or relevant experience considered
  • Software development experience of at least 5 years
  • Proven foundation in computer science with strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Excellent knowledge in architectural and design patterns, open-source platforms, frameworks, technologies, and software engineering methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in Java/Node.js/C++ or any object oriented language used in building scalable applications
  • Experience developing data-driven applications using an industry standard RDBMS and NoSQL
  • Experience working in resolving bottlenecks and improving system performance
  • Experience working to solve issues in distributed systems
  • Abundant knowledge on large scale distributed systems
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Hardworking and self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Design and build a distributed system with high security, high transaction rate and high availability
  • Collaborate with architects in defining the technical charter for eBay’s Risk products
  • Work with partners to clarify requirements and deliver business solutions
  • Champion standard methodologies within software development including the use of AI in code development and delivery
  • Work closely with partners located in various locations
