Candidates must possess advanced expertise in system-level software development and support for RHEL, Windows, VMware, and virtualized infrastructures. Strong troubleshooting experience in production environments with a focus on availability, security, and rapid recovery is required. Familiarity with legacy and enterprise systems like OpenROAD, Ingres, and SAS, along with scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation, is necessary. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field is required, or five years of directly relevant experience may substitute for two years of formal education. A Public Trust Clearance is also mandatory.
The Sr. Software Developer will lead support and sustainment activities for system-level software across Windows, RHEL, VMware, and Kubernetes environments. Responsibilities include monitoring application and infrastructure performance, resolving production software defects, and performing root cause analysis. The developer will remediate security vulnerabilities, support legacy and hybrid systems, and develop scripts for automation. Participation in change control, configuration management, patching, and documentation of technical resolutions is expected. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, support for various environments, and participation in Agile/DevSecOps operations are also key duties.
