Requirements

  • High School diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience preferred
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work independently
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work in varied environments (cold rooms, hazardous materials, PPE required)
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards

Responsibilities

  • Manage requests through the Media Request System from multiple science departments
  • Prepare buffers and media (from <1L to 2000L)
  • Review batch records through the Media Request System for data integrity
  • Forecast and maintain chemical and consumable inventory
  • Perform equipment standardizations, calibrations and preventive maintenance
  • Perform glasswash and autoclaving of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep lab
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor and or Leads to address customer concerns and provide timely resolutions
  • Maintain a Safety first Culture
  • Participate in safety initiatives (Haz IDs, JDIs, incident reporting)
  • Suggest and implement process improvements
  • Support onboarding and training new team members
  • Perform other tasks within the statement of work
