Familiarity with functional and security testing, scripting languages like JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting, REST/SOAP integrations, and Agile development environments is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also necessary. Preferred certifications and experience with ServiceNow Government Community Cloud (GCC), Tanium integration, and ServiceNow SecOps/Enterprise Security are a plus.
The role involves architecting, designing, deploying, and managing ServiceNow, with specific experience in the ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, Service Catalogs, Change Control, HAM, and SAM for large enterprise customers. Responsibilities include integrating ServiceNow with other systems, maintaining and upgrading the platform, managing users, and configuring systems. The engineer will identify and resolve platform issues through debugging and troubleshooting, gather requirements from stakeholders, design solutions for successful implementation, and streamline documentation of system changes. Developing and executing test plans, monitoring system stability, conducting risk assessments, and developing dashboards, KPIs, and reports are also key duties. The role includes modifying and customizing core applications like Incident, Problem, Change, and Requests, assisting in delivering best practices for IT services using frameworks like ITIL, Agile, and PMBOK, and creating/enhancing business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and automation scripts.
