Requirements

Candidates must have a strong information security background with over 4 years of experience, proficiency in English, and a solid understanding of Linux and Microsoft Windows operating system internals and network protocols. Required software development experience is in Python, with the ability to work remotely in a collaborative team environment. Excellent problem-solving, creativity, and analytical skills are essential. A threat intelligence background and comprehensive, practical knowledge of research collection tradecraft are preferred. A BS degree in Information Security/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field is a plus, as is demonstrated engagement in the security community, academic research, or open-source development.

Responsibilities

The Security Researcher will stay informed on current information security topics, automate data collection, processing, and analysis, and operate, extend, and create honeypots to detect adversary TTPs. They will develop and implement creative solutions using new technologies, including AI, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders within CrowdStrike's global Counter Adversary Operations team. Responsibilities also include providing unique solutions on short notice for ad-hoc needs.
