Requirements

  • 8+ years of industrial safety management experience in industries such as manufacturing, petrochemical, construction safety, repair and maintenance, hospital/hotel/theater, large shopping malls, large commercial complexes, transportation logistics or warehousing
  • Ability to analyze and identify trends
  • Autonomous and proficient problem-solving skills in the professional field, ability to resolve conflicts and difficult situations

Responsibilities

  • Assist the SHDR Safety Team in developing, improving, maintaining, and supervising safety management procedures and operating procedures in accordance with national and local safety regulations and standards
  • Ensure compliance with national safety laws and regulations through supervision of relevant safety procedures
  • Regularly review the operation of the safety management system and provide improvement recommendations
  • Organize and conduct regular and irregular safety inspections to identify and eliminate safety hazards
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and tiered management of hazard sources
  • Coordinate with supervisors to assign tasks and responsibilities to safety team members, lead the team in follow-up, collect and integrate professional input to develop action plans, and analyze data/trends to reduce incidents and mitigate risks
  • Collect safety performance data, including leading and lagging indicators, analyze incident injury and illness trends, evaluate safety performance of relevant business lines (LOBs), and provide safety improvement recommendations
  • Familiarize with relevant industry safety standards and solve complex issues exceeding basic regulatory standards based on business needs
  • Provide cross-team support for business line departments' safety training, manage tracking and improvements, and enhance all-staff safety awareness
  • Plan and organize safety inspections, audits, trainings, investigations, and meetings to improve cast members' and vendors' safety knowledge and awareness, and spread Disney's safety culture
  • Support SHDR lines of business in conducting tiered safety audits and inspections, collect and analyze safety data (leading and lagging indicators), provide recommendations, prepare reports, and follow up on actions
  • When needed, work outside park operating hours to ensure execution, audits, and updates of safety procedures
