Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and have at least 8 years of experience in security research, with a strong focus on network security and/or browser-based attacks. Demonstrated expertise in reverse engineering, malware analysis, and threat intelligence is essential, along with a deep understanding of network protocols and security vulnerabilities.
As a Sr. Principal Security Researcher, you will leverage Palo Alto Network’s security data to derive new insights that inform threat trends and protections needed across Network Security. You will discover and create proof of concepts for new network or browser based attack techniques, design practical product-level mitigations to prevent new and novel attacks, and serve as a threat and network security subject-matter expert when collaborating with Palo Alto Networks leadership and industry partners.
