Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 8–12 years of related experience in Estimating and/or Finance
  • Experienced in and knowledge of MS Office Suite (intermediate Excel skills required)
  • Strong project management skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet proposal milestones
  • Working-group oriented with ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret complex data, and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
  • Analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work in an office environment (constant); required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (constant)
  • Qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR and EAR, or eligible for export license approval

Responsibilities

  • Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy
  • Provides regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and presents cost estimates to management, customer representatives, and government audit agencies
  • Prepares and validates cost estimates for sustainment, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts, vendor data, parts, and equipment
  • Identifies cost and price risks and applies to estimates where applicable
  • Supports DCAA audits and assists with contract negotiations as necessary; liaises between operations and other support organizations for estimating instructions and pricing
  • Performs analysis of cost estimates identifying inconsistencies and issues
  • Develops different cost estimation projects and procedures for final approval by management
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)
  • Other duties as assigned
