Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 years; Assoc.+6 years; M.S.), the ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English, and 2 years of proven experience. Experience in sales account management and the health care industry (preferred, specifically eye care pharmaceutical or medical device field) is preferred, along with technical learning and agility, a high-energy self-starter attitude, and collaborative team player skills. Strong business acumen, organization skills, and a driving license (category B) are also required.
As a Sr. Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, the individual will be responsible for covering a large territory within Des Moines, IA and Omaha, NE, focusing on a defined target list of physicians/practitioners. They will build disease awareness, collaborate with partners on prior authorization and patient access, manage the sales budget, grow sales through territory planning, develop relationships with customers and opinion leaders, implement compliant programs, coordinate trainings and events, prospect for new accounts, and track account metrics. The role involves managing all business-related aspects with customers, presenting action plans, and keeping constant touch on market evolution while ensuring customer satisfaction and sales growth.
