Requirements

Passion for gaming, particularly console & PC controller gaming category
Expertise in 3D modeling and scientific approaches & analysis tools for robust mechanical designs for volume mass production
Ability to achieve cost, schedule, reliability, regulatory, and safety goals
Strong knowledge and experience in rapid prototyping, functional lab testing of concepts, and analysis

Responsibilities

Drive new product development & innovation activities
Identify and explore new product concepts/features/user experiences for the controller gaming category
Play a leading role in cross-functional teams to design and develop products from front end to mass production
Ideate, explore, & prototype mechanical & electromechanical solution concepts to transform user experiences
Deliver mechanical product designs for gaming products from Product Front End through development to mass production
Contribute to innovation and technology programs for gaming product evolution
Develop user-centric gaming products (PC & Console Controllers) and participate in UX research
Develop product architectures and new technology concepts
Work with Industrial Designers and product development teams to define and develop products from concept to Mass Production
Lead & support innovation activities in gaming controller category and continuous improvement of Engineering capabilities
Build mechanical/electro-mechanical proof of concepts to evaluate UX, function, manufacturability, and robustness
Ensure high quality robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using dFMEA, QFD, and FEA simulation
Analyze data from pilot builds and lab experiments
Perform tolerance analyses for mechanisms and cosmetic specifications
Detailed 3D design and 2D documentation of parts and assemblies
Interact with vendors, internal Manufacturing, Supply Chain, NPI, and Supplier Quality Engineering for manufacturing processes & tooling
Define reliability testing requirements and equipment
