Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of applicable work experience
  • Experience with automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, industrial automation, and controls technology
  • Strong mechanical skills for equipment disassembly, repairs, and reassembly
  • Knowledge of industrial control wiring systems
  • Proficiency in welding/machining/fabrication
  • Knowledge of CMMS and BAS computer systems
  • Proficiency in building systems such as HVAC, WFI system, compressed air, plumbing, plant steam, and electrical distribution systems
  • Excellent customer service abilities, interpersonal skills (oral and written), team-oriented, hands-on, thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours at a time, up to 8 hours a day)
  • Frequent squatting, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting at waist, and climbing ladders
  • Adherence to strict GMP Safety Standards and cleanroom protocols (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc.)
  • Ability to work in environmental conditions: cold room/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), fluctuating temps hot/cold, loud noises, strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products), warehouse, hazardous/toxic materials, working at heights, some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Coverage of 12-hour shifts for 3rd shift technician during PTO
  • Possess abilities to perform physical requirements of the assigned job as identified by the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with or without accommodations
  • Preferred: Process automation troubleshooting experience, proficient in electrical, electronics and controls technologies, powered industrial equipment operation training, training and experience with safety programs (lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, elevated work), Maximo experience

Responsibilities

  • Make repairs or adjustments on production equipment as requested
  • Fabricate replacement parts within the maintenance machining/welding shop
  • Communicate daily with the Maintenance Team Lead about significant information
  • Assist in analyzing and correcting problems encountered during maintenance work to ensure work is performed according to SOP’s
  • Connect with supervisor/engineering regarding equipment condition and provide recommendations for improved reliability plan
  • Perform equipment upkeep and repairs on building systems
