Requirements

  • BSc, MSc in life science related field or comparable work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or health care industry, ideally in Medical Affairs
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with digital processes and solutions (expertise in Material Review platforms such as Veeva MedInquiry, VeevaVault, MedDocs, etc.)
  • Superior organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work in a site-based role in Foster City, CA (preferred) or Raleigh, NC (no remote work)

Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of technologies and platforms to meet Medical Affairs customer relationship and performance measurement needs
  • Partner with Medical Affairs Excellence, Medical Affairs Affiliate leaders, Global Medical Strategy and Operations Leaders, and the IT organization to implement technology solutions
  • Advise internal stakeholders on enabling business capabilities with enterprise technology tools
  • Align tools to performance expectations and continuously adapt compliant, efficient, and effective technologies to changing business needs
  • Work within a matrix environment to cultivate tool advocacy with senior leadership
  • Plan and implement the Canada Medical Grants Program and participate in the Grant Review Committee
  • Lead the medical planning process at the TA level, measurement of Medical Affairs effectiveness, departmental goal setting and tracking; create reports and presentations
  • Provide budget oversight in collaboration with the Country Medical Director and local Finance Lead
  • Provide project management to the MLT
  • Oversee and lead initiatives to raise standards within Medical Affairs, including training programs; partner with HR and L&D for training and development plans
  • Ensure consistency and efficiency of departmental operations and alignment with company procedures, policies, and processes
  • Provide quality oversight of Medical Affairs activities including SOPs, training, audit programs, and related recordings
  • Develop, refine, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Medical Affairs activities
  • Work on special projects in close collaboration with the Country Medical Director
