Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
3-10+ years’ experience in a Finance field
Ability to model financials with a solid understanding of accounting principles
Ability to leverage technology to efficiently access information
Ability to read and comprehend store income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash-flows to create pro-forma statements and make recommendations to improve performance
Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, and Finance/IT/Business teams
Exposure to small businesses and knowledge of QuickBooks (preferred)
Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with store owners, participate in new store conversions, and work with sales teams
Responsibilities
Develop business relationships with independent CARQUEST stores to counsel and provide financial assistance for enhanced profitability and sound financial practices
Build strong working relationships with sales teams and leadership, providing financial guidance to meet company goals
Direct and support team members by providing financial guidance, mentoring, and reviewing their work
Work with the Independent Credit team on billing issues, credit limits, and credit holds
Assist with credit investigations for new stores and prepare/review documents for open account requests
Assist with Phase One resales and company store acquisitions, including preparation of proforma financial data, tracking inventory during changeover, attending conference calls, and assisting corporate legal with sale/purchase and closing documents
Prepare/review/present proformas for re-sales/NSOs/Phase1s, stop shipments/payment plans, and monthly reviews
Assist independent stores with growth of their store group and transition of ownership
Maintain credit files and monitor UCC filings for continuation on independent stores
Monitor store profitability and internal profitability
