Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • SEC/public company reporting or public accounting experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role (SEC, public company reporting or public accounting experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and financial statement preparation
  • CPA license is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with SAP, BPC, Workiva, and SRA is a plus
  • Industry experience in oil refining, energy, or manufacturing is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 11-K, and other required disclosures, for multiple entities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for reporting entities
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations, Human Resources) to collect, analyze, and validate information for external reporting
  • Monitor changes in SEC and FASB reporting requirements and collaborate with the Technical Accounting team to update disclosures and reporting processes
  • Oversee lease accounting compliance and reporting
  • Oversee pension accounting compliance and reporting
  • Work with the General Accounting group to coordinate the close and consolidation process
  • Participate in the Company’s Disclosure Committee activities and preparation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements
  • Assist in coordinating with external auditors, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on reporting-related finance and accounting topics
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests and support M&A activity as needed
