About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to lead the UI architecture and design system for our next-generation console product. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the direction of our front-end architecture in the cybersecurity space. You will collaborate closely with product design and UI engineering teams. If you are passionate about building complex user interfaces, this role is perfect for you.

Preference will be given to candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the technical strategy for front-end architecture, focusing on flexibility, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Take ownership of and become a subject matter expert in key front-end areas of our new console.
  • Provide direction and recommendations on emerging trends and technologies through benefit and risk assessments.
  • Offer thought leadership to upstream and downstream reporting lines.
  • Mentor and help engineers grow in their careers.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams, including backend engineers, product designers, and product managers.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in building user-centric and scalable UI frameworks and design systems.
  • Expert knowledge of the latest web standards and front-end engineering tools, including:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • Web Components
    • REST API
    • GraphQL
    • TypeScript
    • Node/NPM
    • Responsive UI
  • A good understanding of Cloud Technologies and the end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products.
  • Experience with Accessibility (a11y) best practices, tools, and techniques, such as compatibility with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG AA guidelines.
  • Experience with localization and internationalization (i18n).
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React/Next.js, Vue, Ember, or Lit (a huge plus).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and tools for improving and maintaining performance and code quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable providing presentations and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
  • Act as an advocate for UX consistency, accessibility, and empathy for the end-user.

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge and experience using micro front-ends and web components to architect framework-agnostic application shells for multi-framework support.
