Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics, or a scientific field, with 3-5 years of experience in data and analytics. Required skills include proficiency in Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases, experience with data science and machine/deep learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas), a strong understanding of data science and statistics principles (e.g., regression, time series, exploratory data analysis), knowledge of key programming concepts, solid statistics knowledge (e.g., hypothesis testing, ANOVA), familiarity with NLP transfer learning and transformer models (e.g., gloVe, fastText, Bert, HuggingFace), experience with NLP toolkits (e.g., NLTK, spaCy), knowledge of microservices architecture and continuous delivery concepts, and familiarity with training and evaluating transformer-based models.
The Sr. Data Scientist will analyze unstructured communications data to solve customer problems by developing statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Responsibilities include collecting and interpreting datasets, developing and optimizing machine learning models, performing data annotation and quality review, conducting exploratory and fail state analysis, reporting on methodology and insights, and drafting model governance reports. The role also involves guiding clients and junior team members on model development and fine-tuning, collaborating with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical tasks, and engaging in continuous self-led professional development.
