Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 3-5 years of experience in a software engineering role. They should have primary skills in Core Java, Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, along with experience working with public cloud providers, microservices architectures, containerization, and distributed systems. Furthermore, candidates are expected to have Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting skills, and the ability to translate business requirements to technical specifications/designs.
As a Senior Software Developer, the individual will participate in all phases of software life-cycle including architecture, design, implement, test, and launch, collaborating with business partners to capture requirements and drive continuous improvements. They will develop software systems from ground up using a modern technology stack such as Core Java, Python, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, PostgreSQL, and Redis, while also working closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries. The role involves participating in early stage of projects in defining the platform for the next generation data platforms and analytics products, building APIs, pipelines, and data products for multi-tenant, high-volume, distributed, and real-time systems, and staying ahead of technological and analytical trends by being passionate about experimentation and testing new insights.
