Candidates must possess a university degree in business, finance, or accounting, with at least 6 years of experience in indirect tax, specifically with US sales tax regulations and compliance. Experience in a Big 4 firm, large firm, or SaaS company is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office, PowerBI, and AI tools. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong understanding of US indirect tax functions, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team across different time zones.
The Sr. Analyst, Indirect Tax will oversee and validate indirect tax returns prepared by third-party providers, prepare Gross Receipts Tax and Business Tax returns, and reconcile indirect tax accounts. Responsibilities include supporting sales tax audits, conducting tax research on nexus, taxability, and legislation, and assisting with tax technology solutions. The role involves collaborating with internal departments, identifying process improvements, and contributing to ad hoc indirect tax projects, automation, and transactional enhancements. The analyst will also stay updated on indirect tax legislation and address customer inquiries.
