Requirements

Candidates should have 1 to 3+ years of experience in indirect tax, either in industry or consulting. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Master's degree in Taxation is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is required. Experience with Avalara, NetSuite, or other data analytics tools is desirable. Strong tax research and writing skills, the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and comfort working with large amounts of data are essential.

Responsibilities

The Indirect Tax Analyst will support monthly indirect tax compliance by preparing and filing domestic sales/use tax and international GST/VAT returns. They will reconcile tax data, manage the exemption certificate process, and analyze indirect tax audit notices. Responsibilities also include preparing general ledger reconciliations and journal entries, leading nexus evaluations, assisting with registrations, conducting tax research, and maintaining a taxability repository. The role involves collaborating with billing and customer support on tax inquiries, assisting with system implementations, supporting special projects, and maintaining the indirect tax filing calendar.
