Requirements

  • At least 8+ years of experience in audio hardware development
  • Knowledge of acoustic component and acoustic system characteristics (Microphone/Speaker)
  • Experience with acoustical modeling (e.g., linear/nonlinear lump element model, FEM model…etc)
  • Experience with acoustical testing (e.g., Audio Precision, SoundCheck and ACQUA…etc.)
  • Experience with audio DSP tuning to enhance user experience
  • Knowledge of audio processing pipeline (Gain, EQ and DRC)
  • Knowledge of voice processing algorithms (noise suppression, echo cancellation, and beamforming)
  • Communication in both Chinese and English
  • Degree in Acoustics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects for acoustic development and implementation of hardware across speaker, headsets and voice communication devices
  • Work with transducer developers to optimize performance
  • Collaborate with ME, EE, FW, DSP teams to optimize audio integration
  • Characterize audio systems using objective and subjective metrics to ensure the desired end user experience
  • Collaborate with the algorithm developers to optimize audio/voice performance and tunings
  • Partner with Engineering/ In-house operation/ OEM/ODM/CM to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Mentor other engineers
