Expertise in hardware-firmware integration testing (e.g., sensors, actuators, external memory, peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART)
Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and test harnesses (e.g., Python, Bash)
Experience with defect management using bug tracking systems
Skills in root cause analysis and debugging on embedded targets (e.g., JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
Ability to monitor and analyze firmware performance metrics (CPU usage, memory footprint, power consumption, boot time, latency)

Responsibilities

Lead a small team of engineers
Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and methodologies for embedded firmware, covering functional, non-functional, reliability, stress, and security aspects
Design, document, and execute detailed test cases for firmware components, drivers, communication protocols, and system-level interactions with hardware
Lead and perform hardware-firmware integration testing to ensure seamless interactions (e.g., sensors, actuators, external memory, peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART)
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test harnesses using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for regression testing and efficiency
Identify, document, track, and verify resolution of software defects using bug tracking systems, providing clear bug reports
Collaborate with firmware developers on root cause analysis of defects, using debugging tools like JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
Monitor and analyze firmware performance metrics (CPU usage, memory footprint, power consumption, boot time, latency)
