Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related manufacturing operations role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing capacity, resource planning, and material flow
  • Experience of working closely with supply planning and production teams
  • Proficiency in ERP or production planning systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production plans to maximise the use of the organisation's resources and meet established production schedules and quality standards
  • Monitor production activity so that the flow of materials is timed to meet production requirements
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, material or labour shortages
  • Plan the day-to-day allocation of work orders to Production Lines to efficiently, safely and cost-effectively achieve production targets
  • Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules
  • Produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products
  • Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and calculate machine and operator loads
  • Analyse production data so that the flow of materials meets production requirements
  • Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment
  • Utilise a root cause, problem-solving methodology in the investigation of non-conforming processes
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management
