Responsibilities

  • Design and develop efficient outbound yard layouts and processes to support vehicle dispatch operations for a new manufacturing facility
  • Define requirements for yard infrastructure, including vehicle storage areas, loading zones, and traffic flow to ensure optimal space utilization and operational efficiency
  • Establish standardized outbound processes for vehicle handling, staging, and loading, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and configure Yard Management Systems (YMS) and ensure seamless integration with plant and logistics systems
  • Analyze production forecasts and transportation schedules to determine yard capacity requirements and develop contingency plans for peak volumes
  • Lead RFQ/RFI processes for logistics service providers, evaluate proposals, and ensure alignment with operational and cost objectives
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process flows and performance data, identifying and implementing process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for onsite outbound logistics, develop actionable reports and dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions
  • Perform additional tasks within logistics planning based on expertise and evolving business needs
