Requirements

Strong professional and spiritual leadership capabilities for leading a country team
Ability to develop and implement country strategy aligned with World Relief’s mission, vision, values, programmatic competencies, and integral mission
Expertise in proposal development for donors, government, foundations, and private donors
Skills in developing institutional structures, strategies, policies, systems, and strong partnerships with local institutions, government agencies, donors, NGOs, churches, and coordination systems
Experience in hiring, supervising, and providing spiritual oversight to staff
Ability to monitor programs, ensure quality of Monitoring and Evaluation processes, and provide overall program management and technical direction
Capacity to represent the organization with government, donors, and other local/international organizations
Alignment with Christian values, compassion for the vulnerable, and commitment to advocating for justice and the marginalized

Responsibilities

Provide strong professional and spiritual leadership to the country team, assigning and delegating tasks as required
Develop and/or implement country strategy in line with World Relief’s programmatic competencies and integral mission, responding to crises in partnership with the church
Ensure implementation of integral mission and alignment of current programs with integral mission strategies
Provide overall leadership on proposal development with donors, government, foundations, and private donors
Develop appropriate institutional structures and strategies for long-term work, focusing on partnerships with in-country coordination systems, NGOs, churches, and national institutions
Hire and supervise World Relief staff in country, providing spiritual leadership and oversight to the team
Provide overall management and technical direction of World Relief’s programs in-country
Develop and strengthen appropriate institutional structures
